Community & Identity
Each house is named after a great figure from the history of Chakwal — instilling pride, heritage and a spirit of friendly competition in every student.
Named after Chaudhary Chaku Khan, the Founder of Chakwal. Chakwal was founded in 1530, shortly after Mughal Emperor Zaheer ud Deen Babur annexed the area of Dhanni. Chaku, Murid and Karhan were all sons of Raja Sidhar who founded these villages and named them after his sons.
Named after Khan Bahadur Raja Aurangzeb Khan (E.A.C.), the first Chakwalian to become an officer in British Civil Services in 1891. He was instrumental in developing the colonies on the Chenab, and the city of Lyallpur was established due to his efforts. He was conferred the hereditary title of "Raja Sahib" by the Viceroy.
Named after Raja Sarfaraz Ali Khan, the first MLA from Chakwal. He had great concern for education in the area — patronizing schools and giving generous scholarships throughout his life. His biggest contribution was the establishment of Government College in 1949, for which he donated 100,000 rupees and 112 kanals of prime land.
Named after Pakistan Army General Muhammad Akbar Khan (O.B.E.), the first Muslim and first Chakwali to become a General in the Royal Indian Army and later the Pakistan Army. General Akbar was awarded the 'Order of the British Empire' for his bravery and exceptional service in the Second World War.
Named after Pilot Officer Rashid Minhas Shaheed (N.H.), the only officer in Pakistan Air Force decorated with the highest military honour in Pakistan — the Nishan-e-Haider — due to his extraordinary valour and sacrifice in the 1971 war. A true symbol of courage and patriotism.
House System
The house system fosters a spirit of healthy competition, teamwork and pride. Every student belongs to a house from their first day — competing in sports, academics and co-curricular events throughout the year.
Beyond the Classroom
Myer's College offers a vibrant range of clubs and societies to help every student discover their passion, build skills, and connect with like-minded peers.
A platform for students to promote literacy and critical thinking and foster a love of reading — providing fun in an engaging way through storytelling, writing competitions and book discussions.
A creative outlet for students to build confidence in public speaking and performance skills — encouraging teamwork and collaboration through theatre productions.
A society to raise awareness among students about environmental issues and encourage them to take action to protect their planet through awareness campaigns, clean-up drives and sustainability projects.
A club to introduce students to the world of computer science and programming — enhancing their creativity and problem-solving skills through hands-on projects, hackathons and app building challenges.
A range of physical activities helping students improve their fitness levels and coordination. It also teaches vital life skills such as teamwork, leadership and sportsmanship across cricket, football, swimming and more.
A club vital to nurturing creativity, imagination, visual literacy and critical thinking. It helps students promote cultural awareness and showcase their artistic talents through exhibitions, murals and collaborative projects.
Sharpening minds through structured debate — students build argumentation, research and public speaking skills while engaging with real-world topics in inter-school tournaments and internal competitions.
Igniting curiosity through experiments, science fairs and olympiad preparation. The club bridges the gap between classroom theory and real-world science, encouraging students to question, explore and innovate.
Building empathy and social responsibility through outreach, charity drives and community engagement. Students contribute meaningfully to the wider Chakwal community while developing leadership and compassion.
